"Updating executalbe" problem

Whenever I try to open Hitman: Absolution or Hitman: Sniper Challenge, it always says "updating executable" and either stays like that or closes the entire process. It downloads perfectly but it always comes down to launching it. I'm not sure if it may have to do with the fact that I play on a Windows 11, because the older gen games like "Hitman: Codename 47" plays fine on my device. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I got it to work after trying other solutions here in the Steam forums. No other solution seemed to work for me. Here's what I did:

1. Right click the game's executable file where it exists in your file directory (you can right click the game in steam, go to Manage, and then click "Browse Local Files") and choose Properties.
2. Go to the Compatibility tab, and set the game to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7. I also set the game to Run as Administrator on the same screen.
3. Try starting the game from Steam. At this point it works for me following these steps.
