Why do people say, that this one is the worst hitman game of all?

I´m considering to buy this, but people tell me to leave it be, even tough it looks promising.
Is there any reason, why it is the worst, or is this just something that people say, because the others did so too?

From my personal experience I really liked this one. Go ahead and buy it. I really think you'll like it.

GET IT.People just say that this is the worst hitman as the others are more free roam and works a little different,that one is the best hitman for newbies in the series to start.With its price you should be crazy to not get it.Personally i would advise you to get the whole hitman collection with 7 bucks(5 games plus the absolution contains all the dlc) before sales ends,you cant go wrong with that one.

The only ones that complain are the ones stuck with old titles in their heads. This game is in fact great! Plus that is has long gameplay and it has high replay value.

OP seriously if u dont get the whole collection for 7 bucks...idk what to say.Just to mention absolution feels even now that should cost 40 bucks.The other titles are older but they are 4 freaking games that we are really nice to put a lot of hours even now.

this game is often cheap as hell... why wouldnt you get it? Don't believe the haters, they would like some stale recycled piece of crap that never tries to break the mold... I been a hitman fan since the begining and this one has a very decent story line and better acting then all the rest... I think hitman is finding its roots that's why its branching out and allowing some movies. (Still not up to par however) and their are some features I miss in other hitman titles, but this one is fun (Just start on normal difficulty though, or you will hate it)

I have played the game from start to finish twice in a row, thats how good the gameplay is.

In comparison: I played the new Meta Gear Solid and uninstalled it after 1 hour. Played Bioshock infinite and got bored after 2 hours... and the list goes on with more expensive games that I less enjoyed.

It's because the old school fanbase for Hitman generally dislike the new mission structure (i.e., no picking load-outs for the story mode) and gameplay/atmosphere compared to the others. Personally, I liked Absolution alright, it's kind of like "Hitman: The Movie" (and I'm not talking that awful piece of ♥♥♥♥ with Timothy Olephant, ugh...). Blood Money is still probably the best traditional Hitman game, and Hitman game in general, imo, but they're all good to me, including Absolution.
