Hitman Film?

I want all of your opinions on the new hitman movie coming out, do you think it will be sucessful or not and why?

Me personally think it will be half decent :)

It looks nothing like Hitman, it's almost like the director never even played a Hitman game...

A rule of thumb on games, if it based on movies, its bad. The other way around is absolutiontly not an exeption.

It looks almost just like Absolution in terms of storyline. 47 is hired to assassinate someone and ends up going against his contract to help the hit (or VIP, in Absolution's case) out of their situation because they share a similar past with 47. After 47 makes sure they're safe, he goes and ties up loose ends.

Also Ortenmeyer appears to have been retconned for some generic dude who had a hand in, or directly created, the "Agents".

It will probably suck. I don't think they will try to really capture the hitman atmosphere. It'll probably be too over the top imo. Who knows though, maybe it'll be good. I won't be surprised if it is half-way okay, at least entertaining...I'm just not expecting it is all.

A moment in trailer when he sends a bullet through the handcuffs... it's pretty funny. All the film looks like another version of the adventures of James Bond. Nothing from the Hitman series. And the main actor looks like a ♥♥♥♥ from prison, dumb and wick.

THey need to mimic the scripts from original games one by one. IF not do a mixture of absolution and prequels. But these movies? Are a joke. First one was entertaining but not very 47 in my book. Too much cloak and dagger bs when 47 eats them for breakfest he would never need C14s "help" like portrayed in film.

That film is going to be a licenced film and nothing else. The first Hitman film was decent but poor because it was a free interpretation. This one looks even worst with guns and explosions everywhere. I prefer look at Max Payne again.
Let's say it differently: it will be as good as absolution.
