So bad, I quit playing it right before the last mission. Anyone else?
This game was such a dissapointment, especially since I waited my whole childhood for it.
The game was wayyyy too linear. I mean, it's literally "Go clear out the enemies in this room. You may avoid them also. Ok, next room".
They also took away going back to old missions with any weapons you own, unless you're in Contracts mode, or some bs.
The Safehouse is boring as crap. The best safehouse was in SA2. You got an entire chruch ground.
The story was kind of lame, though the voice acting was pretty good.
The graphics were amazing. Too bad the overall game sucked.

So yeah, I quit playing this right before the last mission or so. I dunno, I was on some rooftop with a bunch of FBI dudes or something.
Anyone care to share their experience?

This game can be fun if you let it. I having all the acheivments made the most out of it. So i got my full experience. You on the other hand did not. So that's your own problem. And That level if it was the full gear riot troops then that was the last level. If not then you arent even half way.

Yeah, it was the last level then. You finally get to chase down the guy who is behind all this or some crap. I don't even remember. That's crazy, I got so bored I quit playing it right on the last mission, not caring about what happened at the end. I've never been of the opinion that achievements make up for lack of good content. I don't care about achievements at all.
I could make a crappy game, then pin 200 achievemtns on it, ranging from "clear 3 enemies in one jump" to "keep playing past the 10th mission, even though this game sucks". It will not make the game any more enjoyable, for people like me.

On what did you play the game? You don't own it on Steam.
Xbox 360. I have a ton of systems. I use Steam whenever I want a game cheap.

If you waited your whole child hood than you shouldn't even have the game.

That made absolutely no sense. Are you trying to put a number on "childhood"?
Here, I will make simplify that statement for you, so you don't get confused:
"I waited quite a long time for the new Hitman game to come out. I am also over the age of 18. Good day."

If it was that bad why did you play through 20 missions until you decided to stop?

Because I have been an avid fan of the franchise, ever since it came out. I felt a sort of obligation to play this, since it was the newest Hitman game to come out.
Also, I hoped that if I kept playing, the gameplay might get better. Sadly, it did not.

You can not approach this game like you did the other ones. This time you are forced to think on your feet, you can't plan a kill as carefully as before, but you still are agent 47. First time I playd the game I hated it too. I wanted to play the hitman I grew up with, but you gotta put yourself in the shoes of 47. I am playing the game again and having a lot of fun with it. But I don't try to play the hitman that I imagined absolution could be, I play the Hitman that it is right infront of me and when you give into it it becomes very very good.

Well, apparantly the new Hitman that's coming out is going to be like the old ones again. Non-linear. So I guess they listened to their fans and recognized the error of Absolution.

If they stick to their promise this time, yes.

I still remember that this game was presented in quite a different light, too, before it's release. Stay vigilant.
Here is what I want from the new Hitman game:
- Big open maps. No linear gameplay like in Absolution. Just put us in the map, and let us decide where to go and what to do.
- Big hideout. The best hideout was in Silent Assassin 2. You literally got an entire church ground as your hideout, complete with pigs, birds, watermelons, and scarecrows.
- Going back to levels you completed with any weapons. Just like in the old games.
- Being able to take melee weapons to your hideout. That was the funnest part of Silent Assassin, having to decide whether you want to take the Sniper Rifle or the Golf Club out of the level, and then going back to get whatever you weren't able to take with you on your first play-through.
- More random events. Blood Money had a bunch of chicks that would try to seduce you on missions, only to kill you. That was pretty cool.
- Easter Eggs.
