"Hitman: Absolution won’t start after pressing play
In Windows 7 go the Hitman: Absolution installation folder, right-click the Hitman: Absolution exe file, go to the ‘Compatibility Mode’ tab and check ‘Disable Desktop Composition.’ Then try running Hitman: Absolution once more."

Make sure you have the righ specs, if that dosent work ask for a refund from steam.
- removing the files and redownloading everything
- checking the integrity
- disabling windows UAC (i'm on windows 10)
- disabling antivirus/firewall
- playing with Steam offline
- changing the pagefile.sys from automatic to manually set
- trying compatibility mode windows 7 or windows 8
- renaming the .exe file into "Hitman Absolution.exe" or "Hitman Absolution .exe"
- running the .exe as Administrator
I receive error code (3) when launching the game online, error code (41) when launching it offline.
I have all my drivers up to date, windows update up to date, direct X up to date.
I noticed that in the game folder (Steam\steamapps\common\Hitman Absolution) files are created with these names at every failed launch:
- HMA.exe.2500.STEAMSTART (5 Kb)
- hma_104470_crash_2016_2_10T19_31_42C0.mdmp (55 Kb)
all of them with the same content... i cannot copypaste the content (too big) but they contain DLL names...
I am sure that as some people pointed out, there are some compatibilities problems for certain computers/processors/graphics card with windows 10 and/or direct X, and basically Steam/Square Enix doesn't give a damn about us.
I will try playing on a friend's computer tomorrow to see if there is any difference.
One question though, I have my Steam folder installed on D: drive instead of C:, some people said it may be the cause, can you confirm if you have Steam installed on your C hard drive ? If yes it will mean the problem isn't that and I don't need to test myself :)
