Are the servers still down for Contracts and if so are the achievements for the Contracts Mode still being advertised on the Store Page? would like to know seem if that's the case then i'm gonna bring a Legal Case up with Valve over this seem it breaks the Law in the UK and is not acceptable for many reasons.

Devs are supposed to Remove Unobtainable Achievements from games here on steam due to how the store page works and how Achievements Drives Sales for games.

it's not valve's responsibility and valve couldn't care less

square enix closed the servers in 2018 and they don't even own the hitman ip anymore

Not really no, it's not like you're buying the game for its achievements or buying the achievements.
Good luck suing ioi, they already made it out several times out of greedy disgusting practices anyways.

Valve is the Owner of the Marketplace that means if Laws are not being Followed by a dev then they have to step in and seem Valve can't police the whole marketplace its up to the player base to report devs like this so Valve can sort it out. when you post a game to Steam there's also a TOS that you have to follow that underlines everything its a Legal Document.

it's really not how any if this works and people went over this in great lengths in many other threads in the past six years

that is how it works seem i have worked for quite a few companies that got in Legal Heat and needed to remove the game due to Legal issues and this Achievement thing comes under a Legal Issue so it looks like to me that the Playerbase did not Report the dev at all and just allowed them to push you around seem 99.99% of the games i have reported for this stuff have been fixed within weeks of me contacting Valve with this Legal issue..

And what made up law are you pretending is being broken? Cite the law, otherwise you're just making up nonsense pretending to know what you're talking about.

And where is this written anywhere? It's not even in the steam rules for developers (the entire steamworks rules are public, go look)

even the game the dude was working on has been "in development" since 2007

There is a work around. Check guides section someone has a solution to host contracts server locally. I've done it myself and got all achievements for Contracts.
