That damn shooting range mission

So I got to the shooting range where you have to beat the girl in a shooting contest and get like 470 points.

I honestly did this damn mission, ending it over and over again like 30 times, was it as hard for anyone else?

It's been some time since I played it but as far as I recall you don't need to win the contest. I guess it does make things easier if you do but there are other ways too.

Yea, i turned out the lights, got the keycard from behind the counter, went through the range itself, used the keycard, got evidence and a combination and that is as far as I got, I couldn't find where to use the combination. I did beat the range though, it just took forever.

Been quite a while since I played this level, but you don't have to use a pistol to win it, you can equip a machine gun if you want. Some people also use a sniper rifle, but that never worked well for me.

You can also use instinct, when several targets pop up paint them all as head shots.

The safe where you use the combo is in the owner's office. There's a ventilation shaft, I think it's near the cops shooting the ducks, that leads to it.

combo is in the office. you can sneak into the ventilation without a problem where the two officers are chatting (duck gallery)

good to know, so great how there's multiple paths to the end. I actually ended up beating the shooting range, it was very satisfying.

Yeah it was. It took me a few times, but then I realized instinct and a high ammo fast reload weapon was the way to go.

you can steal the guns. Strangle the guy with the code. Find the safe, steal the key. Turn off the power, and steal the guns during the caos.

you don't even need to turn off the power. it adds an extra variable into the problem imo

Hey Moco,
You should go in the little room with a very small Shootingrange and two cops inside, search the littel ventilation shaft and go in the office (you must bei very fast),wait for the old man, strike him down and take the Notebook, go to Safe. After you opend it, take the kie and go through the ventilation shaft back to the gunshop and open the glas showcase.
That's the easiest way.
In this mission, timing is everything.

My best score on the range is 787. Once you memorize the patterns and when to use point targeting it's a breeze

are you doing it on purist mode? also you have to aim exactly at the head to get 20 points per shot, if you hit the body you only get 1 point. Hope this helps

all of these are valid tips, if you hit head target its 20, if you hit heart/lung it is 10, if you hit white it is 1. so well placed shots are rewarded and i recommend using your insinct point shoot as much as possible when there are multiple targets. (accuracy is key those 1 pointers is what makes people fail this challenge repeatedly)

couple days ago i beat this first try with a score between the 550-700 range.
