Elite Edition Removed?

Since a while I can't find the Elite Edition in the ship anymore. Also around the same time the "DLC" package named "Hitman: Absolution - Sniper Challenge Unlock" (see steamdb) was updated on April 12, 2018. So.... ist there now a DLC package that lets you unlock the Sniper Challenge (because they removed the Elite Edition?) or is it just me that can't see the Elite Editon anymore (and also, yes I am one of those peope who didn't get Sniper Challenge with the main game so that's why I am asking. I would buy Elite Edition again if it was still possible.. but at least in my region it's not.).

literally the first 10 posts on the forums talk about contracts mode being shut down, the only thing the elite edition gave you were weapons for a mode you cant play

Didn't know the contracts mode shutting down had anything to do with it, but that edition also gave you the sniper challenge mini game (the normal edition won't). Because the DLC package with the same name was updated just lately, I thought there was maybe a new way to activate or get sniper challenge without buying the elite edition which isn't possible nowadays anyway.

I know there are a lot of posts in the forum about the sniper challenge, but all they really say is "you have it, if you got absolution" and "if you don't, then no one can help you (EXCEPT you buy elite edition)". Now that you can't, I was just wondering if they changed or were going to change something about that. (especially with the new Hitman game coming up, which has a new sniper game as preorder bonus).

sniper challenge is worthless, its a 2 minute long gimmick, yo8u shoot a few things and you were done, it was a contest and that contest ended years ago

Sniper Assassin is an entire new mode of coop play and will be expanded on with new maps and challenges, there's no comparison with what they offer gameplay wise

It's not worthless, please let people decide for themselves what they want or not want.

I played it far longer than 2 minutes for the challenges on an old account (snipe all doves etc., find the guy in the window etc.).

Almost no one cares for the contest (or cared for it), but if you like games like this, it's a fun mini game CERTAIN people want in their collection, even if you don't need more than 2 minutes to fulfill the main objective.

Sniper Assassin is expanding on the Absolution bonus game? So why shouldn't they re-release the old one for the fans or at least make it available somehow, now that the Elite package is gone?

In short, why was the steamdb DLC pack for Sniper Challenge updated last month?
