The sequel is HITMAN (2016) and the main story takes place in 2019, seven years after Absolution, but it's just Agent 47 and Diana back at work, Victoria took the option to not become a killer and has nothing to do with it.
HITMAN (2016) has two parts, the Prologue which takes place in 1999 and shows 47 meeting Diana for the first time and joining the ICA, then the main campaign in 2019 for "what's going on now", and just to be sure you know the other games happened there's a montage after the prologue that summarizes all the other games as just "things 47 did between the prologue and now" and includes a clip from Absolution showing that it happened, but none of those events really matter to the current events as it's all in the past now.
HITMAN (season) 2 (2018) then directly carries the story from HITMAN (season 1) (2016) as a direct continuation of the same current events, as does the Expansion Pass (DLC) and as will the game after that HITMAN (season) 3 (announced but no release date)
Hitman Absolution is just game number 5, an irrelevant story blip in the middle of a much longer story arc about Agent 47.
Incorrect. Both Diana and Victoria are alive at the end.
There is no direct sequel, there is only HITMAN (2016) which continues the franchise, she is not mentioned at all in the games that come after.
At the end of Absolution both Victoria and Diana are shown alive, the end is wrapped up and clear, the only loose ends are Birdie and the Sheriff, neither of which is a direct threat to 47 as he can just leave the country and go back to work.
Diana is back to being 47's handler, Victoria is not discussed, it's 7 years later, as was said in Absolution, she has a choice of what to do with her life rather than being forced into it by Travis.
It's unclear if you are misinformed or intentionally just making things up. Either way you are wrong and arguing over nothing since anyone could simply check and verify that you are incorrect.
Well, now that you've made it clear you are just trolling, there's no further point in responding to you.
