BO 2 doesn't have a console.

actually, black ops 2 has a command console, but its activated through the configuration file, which is by itself a breach of TOS because you are altering the game files, which is bannable by life.

Odd you can do ALL OF THOSE THINGS via the Options menu. Console access is not necessary.

last time i checked you cant draw lagometer, change performance settings like body count, blood, wall marks, you cant change any net settings such as max packets or rate. The extra settings in the menu are nice but not if theres no console to change the missing settings then, no, not really,

You mentioned NONE of those things in your post. 90% of the things you mentioned are available via the settings. The only thing in your post that isn't there is a lagometer. Everything else in your post that I replied to is available in the regular options. For the things you mentioned, console access isn't necessary.

Your 2nd post is a different matter all together but don't refute my point by moving the goalpost. Also access tot he console implies that such options are even available. There may not even be things like a lagometer in the game so console access wouldn't help anyway.

I mean I get that console access would be nice. But realistically is it helpful for people to give them access and make them fumble about with 15 different lag parameters without any context? Tweaking that is 50% black magic 50% black box magic. Hekc most people don't even understand how the lagometer works in TF2. I think Treyarch are trying to make something more dynamically driven so that users don't have to go out an get an CCIE to play BO2. This hasn't really worked out as well as hand tweaking things, and there are always edge cases that such a system will fail in.

For better or for worse we dont' have console access.

Here is my advice

DO NOT CHEAT. EVER.

You ALWAYS run the risk of being banned for cheating. That is a fact. You can pretend that "oh it's not vac in SP". But are you sure? People thought Dead Island was single player. People thought "open" in Dungeon Defenders was open season for cheating.

Cheat at your own risk

But there are useful things for the Console. Left 4 Dead and Portal 2 both can get Split-Screen enabled THROUGH the console. Is something like that bannable if I do zombies with my bro? We've run into the problem where his PC can't run BO2 because of the lazy graphics port, which I'm guessing if it was lazy enough that they can't use certain graphics cards, then the split-screen commands may be in there as well.

Yes because tehre is no console access in Bo2.

BO2 has extensive graphical opitons enabled in the options. If he can't run BO2, it's not because a lack of 'console' access. That is a non-sequitor.

He can run Skyrim, Borderlands 2, other high-graphics games fine. And you missed my point. My point involved that "Activision/Treyarch was really lazy with the port because certain graphics cards cannot run it because of the model." It's the map-loading times he's having trouble with just like a lot of people. There are people with Alienware towers that have the same problem. Because of the lazy port. If they were lazy with the port, they might still have the split-screen commands in the code.

The only people have ing map loading problems are Intel cards. Long load times are a driver issue. Not a game problem.
