Steam won't start black ops 2 (please help)

When I open black ops 2, the steam windows will show up, saying it's loading, then the window disappear, and the same procress repeats in a loop... What should I do?

I've reinstalled steam but it's still not working...

have you restarted you PC ?.
I just ask as a crashed game .exe in memory could stop another one from loading

as always the 1st thing you should try is turning it off and back on again.

yes I have restarted my pc but the problem is still there... What els should I do?

Reverify the game cache for BO2

i restarded steam and then it started to dl.

I resolved the problem by opening steam by right clicking it then selected "run as administrator.

Also it didn't worked for me... When I'm starting Zombies, there is a Black Screen and mouse icon changes to "Loading Icon". The Campaing works, but when I am trying to start Zombies/Multiplayer, there's a black screen. Oh, BTW I have Windows 7

try changing screen mode to windowed fullscreen, it worked for me.

It's okay now, I've restarted my computer from skratch and now it's fine

Here in 2024 was attempting to launch this game in windows 10 (any mode zombies/ MP or SP. Nothing worked. So I've changed compatibility to windows 7

Set the compatibility options to run as administrator and disabled full screen optimizations.

Suddenly Steam figured it needed some direct x components. And voila it launches. Hope this helps someone.
