Black Ops 2 - Awaiting Textures Freeze. (Long Loading Screen) >FIXED<
Put it this way, i enter a fresh lobby, for example search and destroy, the game loads up, and usually freezes on "Awaiting Textures" i end up getting into the game at the end of the first round.
Zombies loading screens take 3-4 Minutes.
Campaign usually around 1-2 minutes.

I've searched the interwebs for answers, and found the "Disable disk write cache fix" didn't work, I've Updated drivers, re installed steam and COD, i have my ports forwarded and my Nat type is "OPEN", the only thing i can think of now is that ill probably have to get a SSD, but that's only a hypothetical fix, and considering everything else this really shouldn't be a hardware issue, any ideas?

AMD Radeon 7850 2GB .
AMD FX 6100 Six Core Processor. (Water cooled)
2 X 1TB HD
8 GB RAM
1000w PSU

Have you gone through the soultion topics already posted here?
There's numerous fixs stated on this forum for AMD users and their long loading times, have a bash at hem and see if it's any better.

From what I understand the problems lies with any AMD hardware your using so they need to pump out a proper fix to address the HW issues.

There is no fix... they don't make a patch for amd users because they only want to make money, and yeah amd users arent important...

FX processor you need to at the bare minimum update your motherboard BIOS or you'll be running in circles.

OK

Why would i need too flash my BIOS?
this is just with COD, it's not with other games, other games i can run fine.
I'm pretty sure it's a driver issue, AMD hasn't released a driver update since Black Ops 2 was released, so i'm kind of waiting on that for now, in the mean time i turned all my graphics settings too the bare minimum and my loading screens arent as long... but there still pretty bad.

Hi Baked

I have that problem too ( i have a great PC ) but i changed the drivers of my video card and i put Beta drivers of AMD ( this ones are optimized for BO2 ) and the problem was solved, in the meanwhile i think the treyarch will optimize theyre game for AMD video cards too.

True that , the loading screen takes too much time , longer than COD MW3.

I fixed it literally 5 minutes ago, i Updated my BIOS and instantly the loading screens were fixed, i even made them faster by overclocking my processor too 4200 Mhz, from 3300 Mhz

It still freezes, but the loading screen for multiplayer is about 10 seconds if that now

Baked do this if you want, put the Beta Drivers of AMD (if you got the Video Card Of ATI RADEON). here is the link http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst1211betadriver.aspx

Dont forget you must unnistall the Old drivers(of your video card) them install the new Beta Drivers which is the 12.11

I did that a couple of weeks ago, didn't really help, unless AMD has updated their beta drivers since than i don't think it would help.

They haven't. Which means us AMD users are stuck with the loading times we currently have.
Tripp3r Jan 8, 2013 @ 3:35am
Not really... as i wrote before... i updated my BIOS and that fixed my loading times, the only problem i have now is the "Awaiting Textures" freeze, all that's about is the FPS drop too 0 for like 2 secconds than bumb back up too like 140 roughly.

Don't go out and buy an SSD just to try and fix this issue, it won't help. I'm running nothing but SSD's on my system - All AMD parts in fact - and I've been told it's an issue associated with AMD hardware. So don't waste money buying parts to try and fix the issue .... It's on the backs of the devs to sort this out, which they won't in any timely manner.
