Of course using quickdraw, silencer and targetfinder is a lot of fun. You can kill 3 to 5 people before the enemy figures out where you're at. Then I die pretty fast. Still, 3 to 1 is a lot better then my average KDR.
When I get killed by a LMG with target finder, I switch to a setup with cold blooded. Takes away the sqare and then the target finder is just a bad attachement, or at least worse then an EOTech.
1. Minimal range to hit is very long. SMG can shoot while right up against someone, LMG need 1-3 feet.
2. LMG aim slower than any other gun class in the game.
3. Reload speed is easily 2-4x average reload.
4. Movement while using a LMG is very slow. Movement speeds go LMG>Sniper>Assault Rifle>Shotgun>Pistol>SMG
5. Fire rate and damage are very low. Compared to a SMG the LMG fire very high caliber rounds and aught to end someone quickly, yet SMG can kill is as many hits while shooting faster.
So basically LMG are either very slow and sluggish or you can back up other players and camp.
There are plenty of ways to counter them with smoke, perks, flanking etc. But you have to adjust your play style to counter them, instead of simply running at them.
