Selinem 99% of players who use lmg+targetfinder agaisnt me lose!
LMGs are the only weapon class which is not op. Even the riot shield is more annoying.

i hate lmgs aswell but sometime in the game you have to work through them just like anything else but yes it really sucks to get mowed over and over again by one

quickdraw, rapidfire, targetfinder is fun on downhill...

I think LMGs are great. Makes a change of play compared to charging around with a SMG or AR. I do think the target finder is a bit too easy though, especially when it highlights enemies behind cover. If it took a second before people showed up, there would be no-one complaining about the scope whilst it still being great for long shots.

I use the HAMR a lot with quickdraw and reflex sight. The only time I 'hate' LMGs is when people use the target finder with them and camp overlooking spawns.

I like LMG's. I always use these with quick draw. Sometimes target finder and sometimes with silencer. Also EOTech, I think it reduces kick a little.

Of course using quickdraw, silencer and targetfinder is a lot of fun. You can kill 3 to 5 people before the enemy figures out where you're at. Then I die pretty fast. Still, 3 to 1 is a lot better then my average KDR.

When I get killed by a LMG with target finder, I switch to a setup with cold blooded. Takes away the sqare and then the target finder is just a bad attachement, or at least worse then an EOTech.

LMG have many disadvantages compared to every other gun in the game.

1. Minimal range to hit is very long. SMG can shoot while right up against someone, LMG need 1-3 feet.

2. LMG aim slower than any other gun class in the game.

3. Reload speed is easily 2-4x average reload.

4. Movement while using a LMG is very slow. Movement speeds go LMG>Sniper>Assault Rifle>Shotgun>Pistol>SMG

5. Fire rate and damage are very low. Compared to a SMG the LMG fire very high caliber rounds and aught to end someone quickly, yet SMG can kill is as many hits while shooting faster.

So basically LMG are either very slow and sluggish or you can back up other players and camp.

I think the reason people call them OP is because early in the game the PDW and MSMC hadn't yet been nerfed and LMGs did not have the ADS in and out speed reduced. So when the SMGs got nerfed and the guns became more balanced, LMGs became more useful and competitive.

There are plenty of ways to counter them with smoke, perks, flanking etc. But you have to adjust your play style to counter them, instead of simply running at them.
