razer naga button mapping?
so i have a razer naga mouse and it has extra buttons on the side of it that emulate the 1-6 keys of the keybaord so if i bind something to the 1 key i can press the extra button on the mouse to do what i bound to the 1 key

but in COD and only in COD the game just does not read the extra mouse buttons because i mapped the ''prone'' action to the 1 key and button but when i press the mouse button nothing happens but when i press 1 on the keyboard it does work

anyone has the same issue or a fix?

Did you map it in the options menu under controls? prone/go to prone Or did you map it in the razer mouse software?

I don't have a mmo mouse but I figure if you want to use the prone key as to be #1 on your mouse, I'm not sure how it goes but I figure you would have to go to CoD options menu then go to controls then bind your specific action it to a key on your keyboard (say like the "=" or any other key that you would prefer) then go into the razer software and bind that key you chose to the button on the naga mouse (like your 1). I suppose that would be how it works? I'm just taking a wild guess but you can try that. I have the 2012 Mamba but I just assign the regular buttons to do normal things like melee and what not. Nothing complicated.

i tried that just now and it didn't work i even went as far to give one of the side buttons th same function as clicking the scrollwheel and the binding prone to clicking the scrollwheel

and when i went im game clicking the scrollwheel worked so i went prone but the side button did noyhing so COD just does not reconize those buttons well thats a bummer

Cant remember my mouses name but the side buttons do work on mine.
I programmed within COD and I use it for switching my weapons, so I side click the mouse with my thumb to switch from Primary to Secondary.
So this is possible in principle.

Maybe try doing a search in these forums using key words > key binding/ razer naga... etc. See if you get a hit or something. Probably someone at one point or another had the same inquiry you had.

Have you tried binding the Prone action to the mouse buttons while in the options menu instead of trying to bind it to a keypad number? Maybe CoD doesn't recognize the "Mouse buttons as keypad buttons" functionality, and is treating the mouse buttons completely separately.

I use a razer naga fine. I just have controls set in the game itself to the numbers. It may be the setting on the bottom of your mouse too, I dont know if it works in number pad version. Mine is set to "123" aka the numbers on the top of your keyboard.
