Any modifications to the games files can result in a permament ban.

to USS: CFG is not some kind of modification..CFG is just configuration of your game ( for example graphic resolution, keyboard settings, binds). All the thing you personalize for your self is SAVEd to the file named .CFG . It's the one of the most used tool ( action) to get game stabilized and well working for example in Counter Strike. If you did NOT get it, look at any multiplayer CFGs uploaded to the web by PRO players. If you still did NOT get it just look at any of yours single player game in game files, search for file named config, game config, or cfg. You may fing many interesting things, believe me.. Cheers...

So i can use this without get ban?
If you change/remove/add any files to the BO2 folder structure its a breech of the Terms of Service you agreed to before you started playing and theres a strong chance that the VAC system will flag your account for it.

Rule of thumb is: If it involves changing anything to do with the games files or folders don't do it.

If the worst happens and you do get labeled with VAC remember that no matter what you say or do the community will always think you cheated at something.

Obviously u can get banned this time around, they wouldn't have encrypted the cfg file otherwise. Don't do it.

If you get banned for changing any of "yours" cfg files that's one of the best ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I have ever seen. CFG is just configuration of your game that's why it is called CFG. My friend has changed their files ...Simply because they had to. They have bought some ♥♥♥♥ Polish version of game so they had to change some of game files because game wouldn't been running right now if files weren't changed... If you wanna tell me I change files for some reason ( not cheating etc.) and I get banned?! Something is really wrong.... And it's not me ..!

On the other hand I do NOT really know what your CFG file you sent here includes. Something inside it could be propably marked as thread. If it's just game configuration for FPS, tehre is no reason to get banned. Nobody know's.
enjoy your bann ppl nothing shouldnt be touched regardless of any file on bops 2 unless its in game settings:0)
That is definitely Not a rule of thumb, it is a Treyarch rule for this particular game! PC FPSers have been modifying the game's appearance with custom configs since the beginning. This game is one of the first that doesn't even allow access to a Dev Console!

Apologies I purely meant for BO2 not the genre or PC gaming as a whole, my bad XD
