just bought DLC now cant hardly find any players
hello!
i just got the latest DLC for BO2, but now its like impossible to find games. its just like in MW3 when i bought DLC i couldnt find games (cus noone had the DLC) disable DLC in the menu solved it (but money wasted for the DLC)

now for BO2 I wonder how to disable the DLC so I can find games. thanks.

people who bought the dlcs for bo2 earlier seem to have moved to ghosts..
probably because half of them had a hard time finding games aswell, even at peak times.

i somewhere heard you can contact steam customer service for that reason. they can delete the dlc from your library or something.
sadly, there is no "off-switch" for the dlcs.

You cant disable Dlc. If you are lucky Steam support may delete the Dlc for you. Explain for them your problem and hopefully they will delete it.

i have seen a few people say steam has removed the dlc for them (no refund though) but it may take a few weeks

i have all the dlc's except for the last one and i don't have any problem finding lobby's. are you from europe? Because i hear that some people in some parts of the world having trouble finding lobby's

Make sure your search preferences are high because if you set to a low number like 30 you will not ever get into a lobby. You can also have patience and wait 45 seconds for the lobby to merge into a match. You will not connect right away into a match if your game is looking for a DLC match because it is not willing to put you in a standard match. Also, make sure you are in a playlist with people. If you are trying to match into a playlist with no people do not expect to get into a game.

Ha yeah, I had the revolution dlc removed from my account and my ability to find games came back.

hahah what a piece of crap. you buy the dlc, but cant use it since you cant find lobbies, then they remove the dlc but DONT igve money back?! HAHAHAHHAH. and noone has sued them yet? i cant sue them cus i live in sweden.

You can't sue cause the game + DLC works, it's only not playable because not everyone buys DLC so the player base is so small and you can't sue a company or a retailer because of the lack of players.

Why would you buy dlc for bo2 when ghosts just came out.. WOW. But w/e maybe you should turn your search preferences up? (the ping)

This is why I haven't bought Ghost as I'm waiting for the first DLC to see if I can toggle that crap on or off. I would usually want the Game plus season pass, but after BO2 missing DLC Toggle and playing the same people over and over again. I decided this before all the other problems with Ghost showed up so I'm pretty happy I passed on it.

At this point tho I am so tempted to install the Origin and play BF4... and I am so Anti Origin that it has never been installed on my PC ever. But I have seen it so meh..

OP, what you are saying in utter bull$hit. I have all the DLC's and never, I mean NEVER struggled to find a game anywhere. Being a local server (South African), or overseas servers.

Yeah the player base is smaller now, due to Ghosts (Which I also have), BO2 palyer numbers was largely affected for the first 2 days after realease of GHOSTS, low to abt 7K people worldwide on BO2. But this last weekend, their was more that 12K on.

Just change your search Preference to 100 - 115. You WILL get a game. Not necessarily a DLC lobby, but BO2 still pretty much alive.

Since Ghosts has no dedicated servers after all, I am about to purchase the DLC packs for blops 2 and I have some questions for you guys that own them. Are there separate lobbies for the DLCs? I've seen videos on youtube from xbox and there where separate lobbies for each pack. Is it the same for pc? If it's like that I could always find matches for the main maps and try out the DLCs when they are populated. Also, can I use the bonus SMG on all the maps?

Peacekeeper can be used on any map, hence DLC or on the standard maps - No Problems

There are no seperate DLC lobbies in BO2. You will only play in lobbies provided / active. You are lucky to play any of the DLC maps, if everyone else in the same lobby have either of the DLC's or all 4 for that matter.

SO, the DLC weapons in all the maps, DLC seperate Lobbies = NO

Well that's a bummer...
DLC should be impemented with different lobbies in pc also.
I guess I will be playing the main maps again this season. I am not exactly bored of them but I would like some variety.
