How to change the color of your name in the Lobby/Leaderboards.
I'm sure that most of you have seen certain players are showing up in the lobby and leaderboards with different colors. I'm here to inform those who don't know yet on exactly how to do that.

It's very simple. You just need to add some special characters before your Steam Profile Name.

It's Basically ^ ^. Two Carrots or Up Arrow Signs; whatever you want to call them.

Then take a number that represents a color and put it after the second arrow.
Finally take an emoji and put it after the number.

For example:
To display FazeFanBoy in Red, you would change your Steam Profile name to:
^ ^1👌FazeFanBoy

Every number represents a different color.

^ ^0👌 Black
^ ^1👌 Red
^ ^2👌 Green
^ ^3👌 Yellow
^ ^4👌 Blue
^ ^5👌 Cyan
^ ^6👌 Pink
^ ^7👌 White

Well I hope that was helpful to some of you. Enjoy.

90% of the people I've seen doing this have been cheating.
But now it's know, I guess that'll change.

However, it's more trouble than it's worth.
In-game, it bugs my name out, and makes it "Autumnum"
Also. The effect doesn't take place in-game. Only the lobby screen.

I guess it depends on what Emoji you use. My name shows up pretty cool in the Lobby and Leaderboard. I Replaced the A in Trigga with the emoji.

People still do this in CoD? lmfao. I remember in Quake there was also lighter and darker shades. People would just sit in spectate forever perfecting the colors and icons in their name. lmfao. I thought this was long gone from CoD since the last time I seen it was in MW2 I think.

I'd tried when I first got this game on PC to find out how to do colours.
I had been able to do it in MW2/3, but in Bo2, I asumed they'd removed the feature.
But, I don't know, is this some kind of glitch?

Anyway, this will pass soon...

No/ it's not a glitch. It's been there in purpose for every single one of the Id Tech Engine series I guess (which is why I mentioned Quake)/ and that's what IW engine is built off of (Same with Source Engine 1 and 2 and 3).

I'm fully aware that the colouring isn't a glitch.

But like I mentioned before, I've tried to get a coloured name in Bo2 before, and failed.
Which is why I think this use of "Emojis" is a glitch.
