Best setup for SMR?
I remember when the SMR used to be super op if you stuck a target finder, grip and select fire on it, but I think they nerfed it at some point, still nice with a target finder but wondering what else I should put on it instead of select fire?

For Semi-automatic weapons, never use selective fire. Even if your finger shoots slower, you're still better off without it.

It's pointless putting grip on any Semi-auto. As it does next to nothing.

I would reccomend using Quickdraw, Stock, Reflex / MMS / Targetfinder.

As they seem to be the most effective on that gun.
Anything else is just...Pointless really.

Hm, I'll try that setup, thanks.

Yeah the select fire seems useless considering it lowers damage range, the SMR has some annoying recoil sometimes so I thought the grip would help, but if it does nothing then I'll just replace. Dunno about Quickdraw though, I'm mainly using this class to stay at range from targets, hence the target finder.

You don't really need Quickdraw, but I find it's better with it on, even if you are playing a "Ranged role."
It does help if people get a little to close than you'd like, then you can shoot more accurate.
And, hipfire. It's less that desirable. (And I've got a rule, don't hipfire unless you've got no other choice / don't have enough time to react.)

My class with FAL OSW is either with Select Fire and Stock or Reflex Sight/EOTech Sight with FMJ xD (not the best class in my opinion).

I haven't use SMR as much as FAL OSW.

What's your favorite assault rifle and why do you like it so much?

Well, I would reccomend that you take Selective fire off the gun, as it's more of a pain that it is a gain. (It would also help you improve your aim, and trigger finger.)
As for sights, personal preference I can't hate on that.
But FMJ, on an FAL, it's not really needed as the gun has one of the highest penitration in the game. But if you're looking to do some more damage, it's allright. But not really needed.

As for my favorite AR.
I don't really have one, so to speak. As I use what I feel like at the time.
I'll mostly use MTAR as it's a nice all round weapon.

But my most liked AR is the FAL OSW.
Why do I like it? Because it's a lovely weapon, nice model, nice sounds, no recoil. And lets not forget the godlike RPM of the gun, that I can really make use of (9-14 (Sometimes higher.) clicks per second) with my trigger finger.

I see. I like MTAR, it's relatively good. FAL OSW is great. SCAR H is very good. AN94 is versatile, but it's good enough. I'll go with MTAR. It's very difficult to choose xD.

I'll only really use Scar-H if I feel like not doing anything, and basically letting the game play for me. Point and click adventure.

As for the AN-94, I get periods where it's really nice to use, and others where it just......doesn't work, and is stoping me playing.

Stock and Reflex are all you need on the SMR.

I love running the SMR, I would suggest stock/quickdraw/fast mag. That lets you stay always on the move with minimal down time. Grip doesn't really help much because all weapons in this game have rather manageable recoil once you get used to it after a few matches. If you have quickdraw and are a good shot, you can replace the stock with something else you prefer (like maybe a scope) because the whole point is to stay on the move long enough to not get shot when aiming down.

I'm sorry but the stock is a must have for any gun. Even SMGs.
