Issues with campaign.

Greetings,
I am having issues playing the Black Ops 2 campaign. The issue is not with the missions themselves but rather the transitions between them.

Every time I finish a mission and it moves on to the loading screen it crash's. As a result its a 50/50 chance it saves my progress before doing so. The error I get is either the windows message "black ops 2 has stopped responding" or "unhandled exception caught".

Note that I run the game perfectly well otherwise. (Have not launched zombies or multiplayer yet but they are installed).

Steps I have taken:
I have updated my video card drivers to the latest beta.
I have updated my chipset drivers.
I have re-validated all three installations.
I am running both steam and Black ops 2 as Admin.
I have tried changing the time on my pc to suggested times per other posts and resources.


Here are my specs.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 465

Please note that I have tried EVERYTHING in the master list.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had exactly the same issues and such as you and have done just about everything as well, if it wasn't for a random bug that was most likely by acident and has never happened again, I wouldn't have gotten past the second mission, and now I can't get past the third. I'm severly fusterated and it's been 4 days since I've bought it. Everything works perfectly, why doesn't finishing a mission in the campaign not work? I hope they release a patch soon, otherwise, I don't know what to do.

Any chance you could putyour computer specs up? I am curious to see if we have simular hardware config.

I can't load mission 2 gives me the movie then goes black no sound nothing

I am having the exact same issue, i'm basically stuck on the Colossus until its fixed.

i didnt get that but i did the first few missions in offline mode it may be steam it usaully is

mine plays fine but recently the load scenes do not play the voices as they are conversating. I hear the other back ground noises but no voices in all the cut scenes. what should I do

I get an unhanded exception caught error after the mission Time and Fate, or after the second strike force mission. I have an AMD card, and have already tried all of the solutions that have been given.

Do we know if Treyarch is working on a fix for these crashing issues? Is there's a way to send them exactly what error was caused in the first place?

You're not the only one having issues. I crash at the same transition too, and I'm only at mission 3. Did all the steps to try and remedy this ♥♥♥♥ but to no avail.

As cool as it that you are all commenting. Could you please post your specs as well? Can't trend if no one else shows what they are using.

i have played on all levels completed (dig the band) and have had no problems with it at all on my 4 year old laptop?
sound like you may have a driver missing or old one runing?
it's good you have the latest vedeo card drivers and sound and so on but what about windows?

my laptop clevo D900F I7 950, Ram 12gig, Realtek HD, 2X 750 HB hard drives and 512 SSD, GTX 480M 2gig video but i am runing 310.70 and not 310.07 thats out of date.

in the past i have foud it sometimes a sound or windoes driver to be the problem.

on a plus side i am geting a 680MX installed on this old girl

OS is windows 7 64 bit. Up to date on service pack one. No drivers missing.
