I can't start the game
Hi,

When I run the game I have a windowed square opening and say's that: The multi-sample anti-aliasing is not supported by your video equipment. Alan Wake is needed to operate. Please verify that your system meets the minimum configuration required and make sure you have installed the drivers for the latest graphics card.

Well I go to a website, this one: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect

For Updating everything. But I can't still play this game, I can run Borderlands.

My graphic card is the Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family and the version is the 8.15.10.2869

My laptop is the Dell Studio 1555, so why can't I play ?

Because this game only runs at 2xMSAA which is not supported by your Integrated GPU, And even if it runs do you expect it to be playable :p here is a video showing the same problem using even an Intel HD 1000: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEfi47hnjmc

Sounds like you need some dedicated graphics in there.

Maybe it's just a driver problem, try to update your driver.
Because I'm pretty sure Intel HD 4000 can run the game.

To anyone having the black and white issue using Intel HD Graphics 3000 or 4000. Go on Intel's website and update your drivers. Grab the most recent update which was in March of this year, install it and it will cause the black and white to go away. I had the same issue. For some reason Alan Wake(the digital version here on Steam) is having issues running on Intel HD Graphics cards. The Intel 1000 and 2000 don't have the horsepower to run the game so if anyone on here who's getting the error message that has either one of those in their computer that's why it won't run.

OK everything you just said is true except for HD 2000 and 1000 not having the horsepower to run the game, You can say that about the HD 2000 which can run the game but you have to use a command to run it at 800x600 to make it playable, About the HD 1000 it's not because it doesn't have the horsepower it's because it doesn't support MSAA which alan wake forces.
So that's why HD 1000 can't run the game.
