Mini-map not working?

So the in-game instructions and voice-over told me to pay attention to it. But it's not there?? I've checked all the game options. I've even googled but I can't find a solution.

Not sure if you still had this problem but I just ran across it and found that resetting all settings to default did the trick.

Hey thanks for replying after all this time. I never did get around to fixing it and ended up just winging it and completing it without the map! :)

Just make sure HUD is ON .. in settings
