Are servers still up?

I remember when I bought this a few years ago... Had a lot of fun with it. Unfortunatly, can't remember my Stardock account, and might be simpler to just buy it here on Steam. Now, is it worth it to get it again? Are servers working?

Yes. Though I do not think it prevents offline play.

There are mods for the game if you're interested. I forget where though, but they balance and add things too.

Yes, need more characters to choose from and would probably add a class other than assassins and generals.
