That said, the game is marvelous as is.
Yeah, I am curious about this as well, there are some games that are simply bought because it is adaptable or open to modding... if there are willing people, a game can go far beyond its original design.
NWN is a classic example from the 2000s... other handful of classic Bethesda titles from that era such as Morrowind, oblivion, and skyrim (if Todd isn't breaking it) are also examples of that.
For my curiosity, what is/was the tool set used for building this game?
On another note, I'd consult a lawyer about derivative works and how you can protect you and your work if in case something goes wrong (very unlikely, but some people can be ... very creative).
Disclaimer: I have this game on my wish list, but I have not picked it up yet pending my wandering mind and interests.
I wanted to bump this and say that mod support would be incredible if it's possible! I would love to bring in custom portraits, custom traits, custom rare weapons, add monster types, possibly even custom maps. Going Medieval might be one to look at for inspiration since they use text files for mods.
If modding isn't an option, in game generation tools would be nice too.
Failing all of that, please make an xpac. Amazing game, incredible work!
