BOTH EP 1 & 2 DONT RUN ON WIN 10

I have tried a few suggestions so far nothing EP1 runs but I get white screen and sound in back ground no game just the sonic music, game is running no picture, EP2 don't even get passed the setup Config and has an error (Unhandled exception has occurred), suppose its refund time!

works for me on windows 10...so sorry to burst that bubble. Perhaps as Dark suggested, update Java to the newest version, might help.

OK just what the ♥♥♥♥ is it with people complaining game not working, but then ONLY spec they tell is that they use Windows 10...
With majority of this kind of cases, problem wasn't with Windows 10, it's usually somewhere else, but near impossible to troubleshoot when people don't give any other specs or info what they have tried to do.

Totally different scenario but the game did work for me a couple of years back when I played it on my Windows 7 PC. (Of course can't get a refund for that reason.) On my Windows 10 tablet it won't run. Starts then quits without appearing in the taskbar. There's no point in explaining the specs as I don't think it will make a difference. They're enough for Sonic 4, I can say that much. I got the latest Java. I configured the game optimally.

I'm not going to go to drastic measures for a game I completed on the 360 years back, but I read in another thread about DirectX issues so I'll upgrade that when I'm next on my tablet and see if it makes a difference.

I have 200+ games, and this is one of <4% that have issues with something.
Before i had win10 some games worked wich now dont.
But yeah it must be something else then win 10.

Yeah youre right, if more then 96% of my 200+games work, and a few rare ones not, then its not the fault of the game, but my system.

I have reinstalled the whole pc a few times, i dont have old faulty stuff in my system.
Everything legal and updated.

Many confirm this game working on win7, but not win 10.
But even when proof piles up, people say its our system thats causing this while defending the OS itself...

Idiots.

I refunded it, saved me a lot of headache.

I had same problem, how i fixed it was: I changed the resolution of the game to match my desktop settings and unchecked the full screen box, retarted and magically its working now!

I got both episodes running on windows 10 , I think it's more likely be certains combination of hardwares plus windows 10 rather then the OS alone that make the game crash.

Lets analyze your account:
You own 260 games, and your max playtime on the top played game is 52 hours.
I have a backlog too, but yours is ridiculous and seems almost fishy.
With 42 games you spent more time then 3 hours. Rest is unplayed or barely touched.
Many games could not even be finished in the time youve spent in them.

The game we are talking about:
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 episode 1 - 0,5 hours
and
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 episode 2 - 5,6 hours

Whats wrong? You finished part 1 within 30 minutes? Or is it maybe broken? Or did you start it in menu only, thinking thats good enough to test if it works?

So why should we trust your "expertise" while youre account looks weird like that. Youre not a true gamer. You own games because of the owning itself. Or you hacked your account to own it all. Like some other weird accounts i suspect.

So a sunday gamer is telling us that we must have a bad pc. While he didnt play the game at all. I bet you dont even have win 10 ( at least no legal copy)

Yeah that one was working on my system too! Its part 1 for me thats broken.
