Area changing on score screen

I've noticed that the number displayed in the Area column on the high score screen often seems to change between games. For example, I finished one game and area 37 was shown in the score table. After the next game, my score was still there, but the area value had changed to 19. Based on the screenshots I've saved, it seems as though this change sometimes happens after playing a single game and sometimes happens later, after several new scores have been added to the table. [Bug] Remaining bugs after the first patch

I played the game with the patch applied. Remaining bugs before the patch 1) Some settings are not saved. (VIDEO WIDE, ASSIST MODE settings) 2) UI when canceling SAVE or LOAD screen once is duplicated with SAVE CONFIG. 3) When the number of save files on the SAVE or LOAD screen exceeds 8, save files are not visible because there is no screen scrolling in the UI. Stone-cold classic. On first glance it appears really hokey and cheesy even by the standards of its' 1988 release date, the graphics and sound are nice but not exceptional, and it's competently put together. First impressions are wrong, though- this is a fiendish, challenging and well-balanced game. It'll show you the door in seconds at first, but if you stick with it, there's a satisfying journey of trial and error waiting for you. Expect to die a lot though.

The port's decent, and the assist are well thought-out and coded, and it's just generally a great game. I intend to learn how to get good at it, and visit the Truxton arcade machine that's still in Manchester (Affleck's Palace). Maybe I'll be able to get to areas it's never had to load, who knows...
