Not that I'm aware of.
Which is what they did for Gc3. Keep in mind, GC2 came out when 64bit operating systems weren't the norm (2006) and most people were running Windows XP, Windows 2000 and very few used 64 bit versions of these operating systems.
I have not tried it myself as I do not have the game, but that is my suggestion, see if it helps.
I've had it running with my win10 system. My biggest problem is I haven't figured out how to play it. I'm a huge fan of turn-based strategy from the original 90s Empire to most of the Total War series, Age of Wonders, Civ 5, etc. But this one...there is a very steep learning curve it seems.
And this update just showed up in my feed thing, so I hope I'm not beating a dead horse and resurrecting an ancient thread..
it's unfortunate because I changed my opinion of the game. It's kinda slow , takes a lot of patience to play it, but I like it. Well done. A good successor to GalCiv 2 Ultimate edition which was one of my all time favorite 4x space empire building games before this one. You should make more races , those maps ,they're huge!. I wish you had made that battle camera easier to use , but I actually am a little impressed with the ship designer. It's awkward but it's better than it was. One issue I found unusual is you do not have a color code in the minimap of who has what territory, You can be at war with another race and not even know where the heck they are , which contributes to 'fog of war' but it would be cool to have the option to see if you wanted to.
I'm a new player, btw, and am really enjoying the game.
