Just set your monitor to 1920x1080 and be happy.
Or go buy GalCiv 4 which will probably better handle modern equipment, having just come out few months ago.
Let us know how you like that game. A lot of us would like to buy it, but we feel like we've already been burned badly enough with GalCiv 3, and we don't want to be burned again.
GalCiv II is a game from 2008, not 1995.
Thank you for your correction.
There are multiple versions of the game.
According to the Wikipedia, Dread Lords came out in 2006 as a sequel to the 2003 game. Dark Avatar was released in 2007. Twilight of the Arnor, 2008.
According to Stardock.com (who produced the original) it was "Game of the Year" in 1995. It required OS/2 2.1 or later.

At any rate, the difference between 15 years old and and 20 years old and 28 years old for a PC game is honestly splitting hairs. The point is, the game is OLD. No matter which date you want to use, the game is older than many of its players. Wait for it to incorporate modern advancements like 4K at your own risk (i.e., don't hold your breath, you'll suffocate).
