Do the old cheat codes still work?
I used to play this a long time ago and thought I'd give it a try again. Something I always used to do was give the Homeworld maxxed out size with a cheat code. Doesn't seem to be working now. Did something change?

Ctrl + P
or
Ctrl + Shift + N (in TotA)

Won't increase squares on already colonised planets.

Do they still work on empty worlds?

Or rather, what do I need to do to be able to use them currently?

They work on both, but only on empty ones do you get additional squares to build in.

CTRL + SHIFT + N works for me (in TotA).
Just keep Ctrl and Shift pressed and press N as often as you have to.

This worked on my old version that I bought separately. The current version I downloaded from Steam and so far they seem to do nothing. Thus my concern.

It should.

Have you activated cheat use by the game in the first place ?
I guess not.

The previous version on my old comp I didn't have to activate the cheats. Dunno why.

This version I downloaded via Steam - which turned out to be what I was missing. The method for activation of the cheats changes, and after a bit more Google I finally found it.

The old activation methods didn't seem to make sense with how Steam had installed the game on my system. Thus my confusion. Problem solved now.

So simply added "cheat" as launch option in properties, right ?
Good to know that it works now for you.
