Unable to build a Quarry in Middle Age

Hi.

I have an issue. I entered the Middle Ages, but I skipped the tech which unlocked the Mines in Antiquity Age (I think it was Engineering). However, now I can't build the simple Quarry, because apparently it was made obsolete by the era progression.

So.. now I don't have access to new mineral deposits and ores. Is this supposed to happen? I don't think I should lose access to obsolete building types, especially if I don't have any other way to extract a resource. Am I stuck until Era 3 where I (hopefully) can unlock the level 3 Quarry?

It seems a really weird design choice, considering that you have the option of skipping techs in order to rush higher technology level. Like, if you skip a resource building in an era, you are unable to extract any new resource deposit (of that type).

Maybe having more techs that unlock resource buildings would help.. But honestly I would simply avoid removing the level 1 resource buildings.. It really doesn't make any sense that I'm unable to build basic buildings just because "my civilization has progressed to the next era".

No, I skipped the only Technology that unlocks the Mines (Engineering), and when I advanced to Middle Ages, the Quarry was made obsolete. When I click on a mineral deposit, it should recommend to build a mine/quarry, instead I have no recommanded building (it simply shows the normal list of improvements).

I think it was my fault not to get to a quarry. I had not enough woof, I think. later I could be it. Sorry for my English.
