Report a translation problem
My guess would be to observe when exactly it occurs, and sharing the exact reproduction steps so that I can replicate the issue on my end and see what the issue is, assuming it's not occurring at load time.
E.g.
1. Build a sleeping rock
2. Assign a settler to Cookhouse
3. Deleted the sleeping rock
3. Select Cookhouse, assigned settler is assigned to Dining Table.
Is it possible to create the problem by saving a game at the exact moment autosave kicks in?
What might have happened is due to playing on a savefile that had the loading error / character bug, but instead of stopping, the 'proceed anyway' option was pushed, which will of course result in the error since the game was not allowed to load properly.
Anyway, I have the save file from just before all the deleting and creating - and that loads just fine :)
