Parrots and Sprinklers

Is there something specific or a trick I need to do to get this to be a bit more reliable?

I have something like 5 parrots sitting on their roosts (fed) right next to a sprinkler that needs water, and 2 distillers WITH water.. but they don't see it a large chunk of the time.
