Help stuck on last fight

hey guys im stuck for some reason as im falling down the cliff with ahmet it says hold right mouse to defend but i keep failing what am i diong wrong and how can i beat him i cant go back and get more health or gear and medicine is no go cuz im out please any help would be geart

There are 2 parts to this scene. During the first part you only need to defend. Then in the second part you can attack. But I think where is says 'hold RM to defend' is misleading as I think you need to click RM (instead of hold), to coincide with his attacks. Then once they rotate so Ezio is on top you can attack, as well as defend.

yeah i know that my main issue now is when do i defend it seems like my timings off i have managed to defend afew times but cant seem to repeat it at what time do you hit the RMB? like iv watched youtube videos and they get it no prob and have a perfect defend but they dont tell at what point to press the button

I've just given it a quick replay and you have to really wait before pressing RMB. You will see him start to move his knife back and it goes into really slow motion so just wait and wait and wait until you see the slightest hint that he is about to thrust at Ezio. When you see that you hit the RMB. Hope that helps.

thanks man im trying that now still no luck just had to tell when he is about to strike u know i mean yes its in slow motion just when he thrusts its so fast i tend to miss it

Yeah, it almost is a case of if he's thrusting you're too late. I think there is the tiniest of delays between moving the knife back and before he starts his thrust so maybe even try and judge when he stops moving the knife back.

It is tricky, but the good news is I think you only need to manage to block him 3 times. You still need the odd block when you are able to attack him, but I think it has a checkpoint between the two so if you die when attacking you don't have to do the first bit again !!

As a thought, maybe try altering the vsync setting to see if that makes a difference ?

i knew i should have got the health and armor upgrades lol didnt need em at the time though since the game is pretty easy well up untill this point anyways lol

thank you so much man turning the vsync off actually worked it slowed it down enough to hit it dead on thank you so much i never would have thought to try that im finally past it its about time lol

I may try altering vsync in my quest for the 10 'combo kill 5 streak' mercernairy challange. It's driving me nuts. I even started a new game as it's virtually impossible once you complete the game as there have Janissaries everywhere.

Try setting your cpu afinity to just one core in the task manager that was my problem

hey man thanks for the tip, i was about to rage uninstall this ♥♥♥♥ because it was infuriating failing that one idiotic part dozens of times, enabled vsync and got it done in 1st try.

Limit your fps to 60 and turn vsync on. There was a similar issue in ac:brotherhood where you needed to do this in order to get to the final scene

I love you dude, i had no problem in the first walkthrough but now the second time it just didnt work but with 60 fps and vsync on it magically worked, thanks a lot!

Yeah some older games will misbehave if you go above 60 FPS on them.
