Game will not start (failed to start)

Just bought this in the sale and it does not start. The second I press play it just says failed to launch and that's it. Nothing else.

Has anyone else had this problem?

There have been many threads over the years about the game not starting so it's probably worth checking through some of those posts.

To maybe save you some reading, the most common issue seems to be that the Steam download of Uplay is out of date. So visit the Uplay website for the latest version.

Another common problem is needing to make sure both the Uplay and ACR .exe's have 'run as Administrator' set.

I had a problem with the Uplay thing crashing and not being able to work. I researched and people said that you go into your AC: Brotherhood directory and launch the game from there "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Assassin's Creed Revelations\ACRSP"

My game did not work at first and I did this and it worked like a charm.

yeh my game wont start because its says uplay isnt working and it says the same when i launch it from my directory

nevermind go onto the uplay website and download uplay again and it will work,as mbutton said steam doesnt download the latest version of uplay,so just download uplay from the website and run it normally :)

thats weird its working fine for me but when i exited the game it kind of made my pc ♥♥♥♥ itself
