How do you destroy earth elementals?
use ice aganst fire, and fire against both water and frost types but what works well against earth
types? it always seems to be earth lords and elementals that get the furthest in my traps

You have to use explosion based traps or weapons. Like the boom barrels, dwarves, rocket launcher. Anything that has an explosion type of attack will destroy earth elementals.

I used to play with shotgun, so Earth elementals are the easiest for me. I have water ones most, since they can combine and grow to Water Lord.

For Water Elementals, I think using elemental traps on them should work. Like Floor Scorcher (evaporates water), Lightning Ring (shocks water), probably even chill and freeze traps. Not so sure. I'm gonna check.

Hmmm....so far I've only dealt with Earth Elementals. I usually just have two or three Paladins gang up on it, and use my "stoner" effect in the stoner staff to keep the Elemental at bay whilst the Paladins and I hack away at it.

Earth Elementals are weak to explosions, but if that doesn't float your boat, Flame Braclet alt attack with stun effect + crossbow with mana regen is a nice way to deal with them.

You can even kill a whole bunch of Earth Elementals with ONLY the Crossbow. You just have to be good with head shots, so you can have an infinite stun lock.

Or if anything, just use a void wall and physic traps.

Stun and chain headshots with the crossbow.

I love using the dwarves. If you have a whole bunch of them, it's really good on any mob. Except Water Elementals, Flyers, and Kobolds.

Crosbow headshots. earth elementals are easy to hit plus you can almost stun them forever while you take them down. The drwaren rocket launcher seems to work good too

Earth Elementals have been covered (explosives)...

But for Water Elementals you're gonna want to look at physics traps that push/throw/flip them off cliffs, into acid/lava etc.

Wind Belt does this too, of course.

Void Wall probably kills them dead too - no re-joiners.

They won't drop anything and you won't get credit for the kills in co-op, but it's the surest way to keep them from creating those big bad genie dudes.

I use the bladestaff fully upgraded and with Unique 2 feature activated (the shield upgrade). Works like a charm with earth elements and trolls in hand to hand combat. Also, the shotgun (first weapon you get) is OK. Or use ice + shotgun.

thanks for the earth elemental tip. For water I find Stone staff is perfect. When they are little use Alternate attack. then primary each one down. Use alternate attack again as needed in order to keep them from entering the water puddles from previous kill.
I have played through the entire Story + Epansions 5 skull War Mage with stone staff. My favorite.
