Spore Mushrooms are bugged?
While trying to get to wave whatever in Endless, I noticed an odd thing about the Spore Mushroom traps. I have mine upgraded to full, which is supposed to give enemies a lot more health. Two identical monsters from the same wave come along, and one blunders into a spore mushroom. Based on the trap description, you'd think that the newly converted enemy would have more health and be able to win in a fight.

Not so. They get annihilated in seconds. It seems as though the Spore resets the enemy to the base level, cancelling out all the health and damage bonuses they get in later waves (very noticeable when you reach level 50 or higher).

Is that how the spores are supposed to work? I don't see it mention in any wiki / guide / walkthrough description of them.

I never experienced this.

I believe that mechanic is intended. In endless, enemies get increasingly tougher after about wave 10. Spore mushrooms make the enemies tougher compared to their normal strength, not their boosted endless strength. It doesn't take long for the enemies in endless to become stronger than the extra toughness given by the mushrooms.

That's weird. Well, I guess I didn't notice becaus I mostly went with the faster reset upgrade. Seems like it is the only way to go about things in endless.

I explain it in there, and also link to an old discussion about it in the video description.
