What's The Point?
So you gain stuff to lose stuff? That seems to be the gist of this game. There's quests too but why should I do the quests? You can lose that stuff too right? There's no tutorial or anything that explains this game, so I have no idea if or why I should keep playing this game.

Why play any game?

Quests also unlock stuff in the squire and shop.

its a thing called fun

I too have same question as you since the squire can give you almost every basic weapons that needed. So.. the point is to unlock quest to unlock more stuff?

Well when you're talking about a $30 price tag and the game doesn't explain itself, there's a lot of "why" here. So does that mean that quests actually upgrade the base gear, so the very basal gear you can take with you (And ultimately cannot lose)?

Edit: I can see the fan boys coming out...

The point is to play for fun. It's a game of risk reward. You risk your gear to go in, kill players and take their stuff. You can complete quests, kill bosses to earn more gear. There are also leaderboards and seasonal rewards.

The gear you take can be stashed away or sold to other players on the market to buy items that compliment your character build.

Why do we play any games? For fun and competition

I'd strongly suggest joining the discord. I agree they need to explain things better but that is where we are at the moment, but yes, certain quests do unlock more stuff in the squire. I haven't played every class but Warlocks get a ♥♥♥♥ ton in theirs.

Watch a YouTube video on a new player starting guide. It will explain pretty much everything you need to know

Ahhhhhh see that makes way more sense then. So you focus on these quests and you can get better and better gear.

there is no story or prgression like stages or any of that jazz. This game is like a game like hunt where its more so the match by match fun you have that keeps you playing.

If you do not enjoy that then the games not for you

no one force you to keep playing the game ...

for me the reason are simple.
i want to BONK every single player head i can find in the dungeon
getting and loosing item is just the prosess to get what i want

this is literally how every extraction shooter works though....

Why live life? You lose everything in the end no matter what you do.

With this type of game you need to focus on progressing the traders or unlocking the marketplace to be able to buy better gear, anything you lose you can get again. Run low budget gear if you're higher level or the base gear if you are lower level to farm currency for the high budget risky runs. There should be more loot you can use in other ways other than just gear or stuff to sell and I miss the secure container from Tarkov but you definitely need a different mentality with this game.

To get deeper into the dungeons to get better loot, but that said yes I agree with you. Loot system needs work. Quest requirements are far too random and high, plus not interesting. An overarching story to tie the adventures together would be good. Feels a bit soulless atm.
