Any tips for a newbie druid?

I just got split in half by a barbarian in two hits.
I ran away as a panther but had no escape.
Made a treant (he obviously ignored it or just disintegrated it).
Decided to try to circle him and claw him but got devastated.

So anyone could give any beginner tips? or any directions to an already open newbie thread? thanks :)

use treant to block the enemy player and poke him with spear, i just died this way from 2 hits of the spear while almost full HP cleric with gear

Rat form is your friend.
Use Treant and Barrier Spell against players.
Bring a Mace from the Squire to go against monsters.
Avoid Frost Map.
Unless you're ready to use the treant spell against monsters to block them.

if your doin a battle druid think of him like a heave machine gunner, thorn wall to block, summon driad to block in and moon beams for range damage if enemy gets close have a mace or warhammer for fighting. not to mention having healing spells running.
