What does "handled" actually do?
When the item status changes from looted to handled, what does it even do?

It actually doesn’t make any sense. I don’t get what it means. They should remove it.

Handled typically means you got it off the market, or you used it in a dungeon. Looted means you just pulled it fresh from a dungeon. In fact, you can kill a player and his handled gear will change to looted status just for you, until you take it with you into another dungeon or it trades hands again.

When something is looted status, that item can be turned in for quests. When it is handled, it cannot. Mainly this seems to be to prevent people from just buying the objective items they need off the market.
