So I realized this game is F2P now and was trying to get my buddies to download it so we can team up and try it together but one of them then found scary reviews on google. I'm talking about the first reviews that show up mind you so not 5 pages down but the first thing that shows up and they all claim things such as ''So this game is just a platform for hackers'' or '' The launcher scans your PC'' OR ''they pull your data to resell it''

What is this about? Can anybody tell me wtf is going on here? I'm aware this game is sold by some dodgy asian company and these types of claims are not unheard of when it comes to companies, especially from China.

Safe to download? Do any of you even know about this or have you been allowing this game to scrape your data? I want to play but no game is worth risking my finances over.

The Developers come from South Korea. You always find some reviews and trolls trying to smear games. doesnt rly matter where you look. I Play the Game for over a year on their own launcher and never had any issues.

While it all is technically true and scary, it is no different to pretty much any other game. Everyone is gathering data from your PC without you even knowing it, selling and sharing data is pretty normal for the industry, and hackers are also everywhere. All in all, it is more of a shovelware being cobbled from cheap store assets rather than a malware.

Also, getting the country right? I don't know where this game is from and I didn't really make a claim towards that but instead proposed that companies from countries SUCH AS CHINA are selling customer data BY THEIR OWN ADMISSION and taht's me being racist because you're an id*ot or why exactly?

errr.... do you not undersatnd the difference between gathering data from willing customers for contact information and gathering and selling data from unwilling customers? I'm not going to explain this to you!

wtf... in majority of cases you will not know about your leaked info until years down the line... have you guys never heard of data theft in this way? You all sound like you've never heard of anything like this

Doesn't every game secret sell player data? Like ? you won't find out anyway unless someone deep datamined but doubt, since this stuff is well hidden. I also see alot of people talk about privacy when downloading this game. You should realize how corrupt most company's are. You don't know untill you know. so a healthy bit of suspiciousness isn't that bad.

I like how a lot of us torrented this game and nothing happened.

The launcher and game is safe to download, otherwise it wouldn't be on steam, but people like the op don't think things through anymore.

YES AND NO. There is an anti-cheat, people are banned when cheating.
This is a PVP game, there is always cheaters on PVP games.

So that would mean Steam IS scanning your PC everytime you launch a game.
