how do i leave the dungeon

theres no tutorial, i play with a friend and when the timer down there runs out we just die, how do we leave the dungeon

There's blue icons on the minimap signalling escapes. They can be ropes or elevators, sometimes even a raft, or a set of stairs. But they often don't appear til the timer is below half. It's kind of annoying that you can't open the map in full tbh.

also stairs can only be used by one person so best to put all good loot on one guy and let him escape if you are unsure if you find a second staircase;

if an exitdoor is open but the torches are extinguised that means it has already been used by another player

in the icecaverns there is a raft where you can escape as a group

in cave and ice caverns theres a lift that can also be used by multiple people

i feel ruins have only a few exits its really difficult to escape there so you might want to go sooner rather than later
