Oh and yeah its really hard, or better yet learning curve is really punishing, but its part of the game, you die, if you cant handle video game death then its not for you. There are no team matchmaking, i dunno why 2024 and still no matchmaking, who knows.
Best way to know is download it, run through the gameplay loop, see if it's for you.
I understand though, due to it's hardcore nature and steep learning curve, it's not for everyone.
I will also say that Ironmace is one of the earnest and passionate dev teams, that actually listens to the community, around. Just listen to their QnA sessions.
Also honestly $30 still seems a bit much for what's on offer at the moment, I'd hazard a guess that more people would have gone for it at $20, which is probably a possible cause for the F2P mode being proposed because a game like this lives and dies by it's playerbase count.
