Everyone's still dying to mobs, give it some time for people to learn the game and you'll get PVP
Handbanana Jun 12, 2024 @ 10:38pm
I pvp in 100% of my games. If you can not die to the mobs in your first room you might get to explore more of the map and run into people. Don't worry you will get there eventually.

If you're playing duo/trio, get to the group extract asap and you will run into people most of the time

Blindly running through rooms isn't going to make you find people in solo queue. You need to go to the points of interest. Go to the bosses. Go to troll or cyclops. Go to the treasure rooms in ice caves. You are never more than a room or two away from somebody when you spawn.

When you enter a room you check if mobs are killed and then you follow their path. Doors open outward toward the direction you are traveling.

Also keep an eye at the kill counter on the top. You are most likely still in the very newb lobbies where half if not more of the lobby dies to pve. I don't know exact numbers right now but solo queue maps have around 10 players in each map. If 8 people die to pve then that is it you are done lol. Once you start getting better and getting matched into lobbies with people who don't die instantly you will run into players more often.

the maps just feel way to big for how many players spawn it. its just wack that iv played at least 50 games, and have 2 PVP exp. the game is not DAY ONE NEW along with returning players, idk how i cant find anyone. its a huge turn off for a game i wanna enjoy

Because they are all new players dying to pve lol. I have literally seen entire lobbies die to pve.

If you want pvp get off the goblin map or go to the troll. A solid 2-3 people will always go for troll in every match. The goblin map is still basically the tutorial level of the game.

if more than 50% of the player base votes the game is good *based on steam reviews* i feel like they are good enough to review the game well. that said, i should find players with a brain that i can PVP. regardless if people die, if i die and watch people, everyone is also just fighting monsters. the maps need more people or be a lot smaller. google the maps and think about the total players each match. i said OH go figure

Again that is literally just an issue with goblin caves. The map is designed that way on purpose. Everyone you are playing against in normal lobbies are going to be the free to play newbs most of the time. If you want to equip gear and actually go into a higher gear score queue you will start running into people a lot more often.

trust me, you don't want the circle back. i've played this game for the whole year before steam release and what people did with the circle was they grabbed a dozen meds so they could survive the swarm damage outside the circle while looting boxes, this way it would be even harder to find pvp.

theres alot of people in this game who don't enjoy pvp, they just want to kick back relax and loot farm, i totally understand the interest since pvp has alot of sweat and people who minmax optimize their gear to the brim.

i'm one of those people, i play rogue... the class that needs alot of gear to be viable.
i like first getting the gear/gold and once my gear is complete, then i'll do the pvp.
i think this is true for many players, they first farm the capital and when they have enough, they'll do the pvp thing. unfortunately some classes need more gear than others for them to become pvp ready, like barb or fighter for example doesn't need any or very little gear to be viable, while a warlock or a rogue need alot. some classes are just super weak in their starter kits vs some of the others.

goblins map is the best for pvp, mobs are too easy, a lot of place to find someone, everything else is not great.
Spiritfarer Jun 12, 2024 @ 11:58pm
There will be arena map later for pvp
MidnightCoffee Jun 13, 2024 @ 12:18am
It's because they removed the death circle that closes in, so people barely find each other. Game's a boring PvE fest now instead of PvE that ends in PvP.

the circle doesn't make people push inside the circle, if they have meds they can stay outside and keep looting the outer areas making them even harder to find.
if you stack vigor you can literally live there, regen hp faster than the dark damage ticks.

actually gonna drop money on it now i loved the demo but felt pvp was a bit too common and wanted more pve between fights.
sounds like it is more up my alley now
