Instant transformation allows way to much freedom to disengage from a fight.
Couple that with the passive healing you now have a hunter class that can out heal you unless your a warlock.
The game's models make it so your fighting a noodle when it comes to the panther form, making precise weapons more a pain to use as they slither around in circles.
All I know is I picked the WORST possible class to play because literally everyone PVP's and PvE's faster and better than me and have total bullsh * t skills while I have no armor or health and am made or paper in PvP
EDIT : and before you comment "then you suck and need to get better" think about it if it wouldnt then ALSO tell YOU the same if you cry for nerfs ?
Cool that one situation means this is ok.
The issue is more the fact that there's no cooldown or transition period between shifts.
So, regardless if your an enclosed room or not a druid can rapidly shift and kite you at any given time.
It's a free "escape" button.
It would help if you weren't vague and tell us what class you were.
You'd get advice that was is all.
it is not free as soon someone is to close you cant even transform having a weird angle oh game says you have not enough room to transform happend to me multiple tims on slopes weirdly and i dont know " being OP " would mean having a advantage to beat someone and that is on everyone against a druid that wants to escape since damage feels like the worst joke an NPC can kill me as panther for example since i would need with circleing nearly twice as much hits then the reespawn gear and saying i can heal permanently i dont know 1hp every few sec is not really a heal and other classes can go invisible and also escape easily but escaping brings you nothing if everything easily kills you
Invisibility gets broken at an instant by everyclass.
The only real benefit would be to the wizard i believe.
And again that's one situation, idealy you wouldn't be trying to transform next to someone.
You'd use your extra speed to get that 1 inch to transform and then scurry into a corner and begin your healing ritual.
Again there are legitimate issues regardless of PVP such as being able to jump through door windows.
By itself no, but stacked with healing pots and the other spells they get yes it is a huge boon in drawn out ranged engagements which are 90% of the fights now there's no threat of the zone closing on you.
There is no punish to a druid going into mouse form and jumping through a closed door and instantaneously reverting to whichever form is needed, again the Druid can run away at will easily, they can close gaps and escape far faster than any other class by exploiting the chicken fly.
You seem to think Druids only ever use shapeshift for fighting, they don't unless they're new. Shapeshift sucks for fighting, yes, but that's not it's only use.
Keep everything the same but add an actual “transformation” delay to avoid instant switching or rat door clipping.
Done.
