There doesn't seem to be a fix for "Tavern not working" atm

I'm running an rtx 2060, r7 7700g, 16gb 3200 mhz, etc. I get the above message every time I open the game, which promptly kicks me out. I've uninstalled and reinstalled DaD, made sure drivers are up do date, repaired Ms visual c++ redistributable, even turned off hdr.

Others are running into the same problem, with no fix in sight. I recommend that every one takes a step outside and gives IM a chance to fix the game, I'm sure they are aware of whats happening and are working on a hot fix asap.

On a side note, how do you people get prismatic shards in stardew valley? I've been grinding the desert mine, loosing my mind all the while. pls hlp

Same here. I haven't been able to play the game since before August 14th. I've also verified game files, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, tried installing the game on Epic (it would just infinitely load), and made sure DnD and the Tavern were allowed through the firewall.

Just now today, i created account and a my first character.
But couldn't start, get in the Lobby.

Checked again today and still no change. Lets me access a character briefly and then gives the pop up. If I ignore it, it shuts down the game after a few seconds.

Hey all I figured out how to finally play and get past the tavern.exe issue. Tried a ton of combinations of launch options and proton versions. Turns out none of the launch options helped at all and we don't need steamdeck=1 anymore if you're on linux.

Use Proton GE 9-7 and it will work without any required launch options. Any proton version 9-8 and later will break.

For the windows users I don't have a solution but you can try some of the launch options I found below to see if you can make it work:
