Sorcerer
This class appears to be regarded by some as overpowred but I am struggling somewhat with it. Sure, she has lots of spells but they actually do not deal that much damage (compared to regular weapons) and they take long to cast, especially the multicast spell (Flamethrower, by default). She is a decent melee fighter but the low health pool is a problem.

Do you have any tips on how to play the Sorcerer well?

Yeah sorc just got hard nerfed, all the OP spells are kinda trash now.
Sorc really needs more perks, the fact that it launched with only 6 is kind of a mess, especially since they are all for different styles that partially/completely cancel each other out.
I think lightning sphere needs to be rebuffed in damage but changed a bit in application. ie, not being able to electric dash with it active or possibly instituting a slight movement penalty when active so you cannot chase with it. The sphere was highly effective as a rushdown deterrent and that enabled more forms of play. Currently no one really cares if they walk into it.

Perhaps they could make the AoE shrink while moving with it and expand while stationary to accomplish that, having the shrinking/expanding be gradual so small movements don't ruin it and suddenly stopping doesn't make it double in size instantly.

Just an odd idea I had for that kind of ability, something that is more of a "Plant your feet" type tool (which DaD is desperately in need of imo because good lord running and moving is way too often superior to planting your feet and fighting).
right now id say the best class to play is an assault bard. he can open locked stuff with a single song bring a perk that spawns better loot. and has plenty of self buff and attack songs. not to mention the increased healing speed while resting song. he can use most one handed swords and the lantern shield, not to mention survival bow or medium crossbow.

Currently two ways to play Sorc.
w//o Time Distortion Perk.
- w/ Is for merg focus
Summon, Bolt , Sphere, Dash, Spear

- /o is for Channeling.
Lightning, Wind, Vortex, Flame thrower,

Basically comes down to cool-down.
If you like insta casting with long cool-downs distort.
If you prefer constant casting avoid it.

Not true, you're just not utilizing it correctly. They don't care whether they walk into it cause you've no head armor and are easily 2 shot by any class. Rather they're trying to force themselves into your range cause you're not slowing them with wind and water magic.

Were sphere to morph. I'd be okay with it charging your next lightning spell damage.

FE: Casting another spell with sphere enabled cancels the buff and charges next spell damage 5-15%.
