Linking your Steam and Epic accounts?

As we all know, Epic gave away premium accounts today. Is it possible to connect them to a steam account?
Thank you for the Legendary status, but I prefer to use Steam anyway

You can't connect them aside from clicking the social tab in epic games on your friends list at the bottom, all that does is allow you to see friends on both . The game itself you need to make a new account name etc. Basically just play it on epic now and take the L on steam if you get it from there today while its free with legendary status.

They would have given it away for free on steam if they wanted you to do that. Being elitist about launchers and also wanting free stuff is weird

I'm assuming he already has an established steam account and doesnt want to start over on Epic. Nothing to do with being platform elitist.

yeah, i got that twich cat race on steam but obviously cant use it on epic games account, this is so annoying i would even make an iron mace account if it was possible to use the legendary status on steam

Or like my pc epic takes so long for no damn reason like my average time for steam is 5-30 seconds after pc launches epic takes 2-3 mins after pc launches both start up with pc and both are in the same folder section or category

IDK for me Epic loads a lot faster, I'm browsing Epic while Steam is still doing its annoying mandatory "I'm in front !!" screen control grabs.
