Game looks interesting but I am not going to trust a game purely on the basis of it having ex-blizzard devs as there's been a lot of hacks using that as a defense for bad takes. I'll wait for it to come out and judge it then.
Yeah I'm kinda just shilling and getting the word out there lol. People need to know.
I find the shilling interesting considering your comments on Legacy's forum. You don't seem too confident with its success.
I'm not, but I want to believe so badly. There's simply too little data as of now to know whether the game will be a massive hit or not. We got some videos on YouTube, there's also the discord, but that's it.
I hated every moment of DaD sadly so I am very starved for a fantasy Tarkov.
Ah. The duality of internet mankind.
Anyway it looks cool but tbh doesnt feel like being even close to the same genre.
If it'll be good and worth attention, we'll know.
And yet the gameplay, tone, and context couldnt be any further apart. Legacy doesnt lend itself to dungeon crawling at all from what ive seen.
Lmao. it's like saying half life isn't a shooter like doom because it doesn't happen on Mars
Then in my opinion the dungeon crawl aspect in Legacy feels more like an MMO compared to what is presented in DnD, Dungeonborne, The Midnight Walkers play test, and Shadows of Chroma Tower play test. Those games you actually feel like you are picking up loot you want but Legacy feels like you are on fetch quests for an MMO NPC to progress the quest line. It's fine for the game they are making but as another homie pointed out it just doesn't FEEL like a Dungeon Crawler.
Good for the genre as a whole that competition is coming though.
You think being a blizzard dev is a flex? Maybe 20 years ago. All these early release games are companies selling you garbage under the guise of "early access." Its a smooth brain trap.
Dungeon crawler is a genre. Legacy does not appear to be that.
