For the PVE players and the PVP players new DnD like games.
GAME NAME: LEGACY STEEL AND SORCERY: first game he mentions has pvp and PVE comes to EA on the 12th personally not a fan of the art style but may still try it.

GAME NAME: EXPEDITION INTO DARKNESS: second game is PVE focused permadeath dungeon crawler extraction where you extract to then go deeper into the dungeon. PVP will come eventually but will never be required.

and as time passes more will come im sure, but something to wishlist and keep an eye on. Especially the PVE one where players aren't forced to PVP

I honestly really like the 2nd games concept of custom gear, aswell as that every player isnt locked to a specific class and its based on the gear they equip. If DnD did that with their perks/actives and let the players use any gear it would make for an interesting multiclassing set up where you can pull perks from any class (unless theyre broken interactions in which case you can just lock one if the other is picked) and actually make your own class. a banjo or drum playing viking and other fun/goofy stuff. Oh well.

The freedom would be very cool tho and then you wouldn't have to make a new character for every class you want to play if it were in DnD. everyone would have access to the exact same stuff essentially making nothing broken since we all have the same access no matter what "class" we pick since we build our own class. plus not needing a new name for every class (unless wanted) or a new character.

they could also have fighters 15 all be the default and allow players to allocate their points to wherever they want. Which would add more freedom and fun.

-everyone has same access to skills/perks/actives

-everyone has same access to allocate points however they want

-everyone has access to any gear/weapons

-everyone has access to any spells. (obviously need points in knowledge prob 15 minimum)

would be a complete freedom enjoyable experience and no one could say its ever unbalanced. since we all would be exactly the same with the exact same options and it would just be fun niche ways for each of us to play/ tiny changes to suit our style.

Like for me id take wizards zap on a cleric (hopefully they change it to cooldowns too)

-druids heal passively perk

-barbarians max hp perk

-clerics 5 magical healing

-warlocks +5 all attributes

obviously not the only one id try but would be a fun one in full plate.

and if we were able to allocate points anywhere and we got 5 points for each (10 being the base number for each stat) and 15 is the balanced stat/current fighter type of balanced in all thing. Then id probably take my 35 I think as theres 7 attributes if I recall correctly?

and have:

10 resource:

10 agility:

15 will:

15 knowledge:

15 STR:

30 Vigor:

10 Dext:


Then we can build our gear after for whatever build we wanna go too. Sounds fun id actually be playing this game right now

oh and actives id take would probably be... fighters second wind, and spell wheel. (spells would all be CD based too likely not just sorcerers)

The spells id take on the 5 slot wheel would probably be...

wizards light orb

druids second medium single heal

wizards Zap

Warlocks hydra

and its a toss up for me on clerics barrier or warlocks hellfire for the last one.

Alternatively could just go 10 spell caster and allocate more into knowledge/ gear towards it too. freedom to do that would be cool.

id love to see others ideas for combos of allocated 35 points from the base 10 of each, what perks they'd choose and what actives/spells/animal shapeshifts etc.

maybe stuff like rogues weapon poison and warlocks 2 true magic on hit/heal and stuff. or any bard players adding music. Or maybe people who go full utility like lockpicks/traps and stuff.
