how is a steady decline in player population over all proving him wrong? You mean that 1 day they gave the game away for free, where thousands of cheaters, and RMT sellers nabbed up a bunch of free accounts to abuse, and you use that spike as "proof"? Yea that's totally showing him...
I don't think Dark and Darker is "Dead" but the player base is on a steady albeit very slow decline. Every wipe is just a bit less people.
That being said. I think the game will take a major upturn with a slow and steady rise in player base if they keep this latest continuous dungeons, and changes they've made. I have never enjoyed Dark and Darker more.
You are welcome to point to a game that was PvPvE that then dropped the PvP portion and suddenly had a huge boost in its playerbase. There is zero precedence for this being the case other than the fiction you've invented in your head.
