There are also various things locked behind a shop, which includes 2 classes. While these can be locked ingame, realistically if you work/study, it will take you months to get a single one.
They have said they are not sure they will be able to integrate it with steam properly (should it ever get on), so it might not be compatible with the 2 versions that are around.
It's still in early access, and has multiple bugs.
Oh, and the launcher you download might delete more than it's own files. I don;t think they have sorted it yet.
They talked about the early access and the rough cost it would be for quite a while, this is no surprise. They were transparent about it.
Given that the game was hugely popular while on Steam and kept growing, it's safe to say it will be around for a while. You can always just watch one of the thousand people streaming it to get an idea of the state of the game.
They let people test the game 5 times without having to pay. You literally state in your last sentence that you knew of the playtests.
? You can buy the game directly from their website. Also confirmed the developer's statements in their discord. The very fact that you know the game is out there and people are playing it suggests this is just a troll comment, as it's very unlikely you don't know that Ironmace actually released the game and tons of people are playing it.
Silly edition exists for a great many games that release these days. Pretty much just extra support for the company. Or extra bonuses for the already large and wealthy companies.
Just buying the game literally starts you off with enough to purchase one of the classes right away. Months is an exaggeration, as I've nearly earned 4 shards already, yet I have a job and do other things as well. Each season will reset the triumph level, so it is not ever-increasing increments to earn shards.
There are many games out there that charge fees to unlock extra features and whatnot. Path of Exile is a well-received game but has a cash shop to unlock extras. Not just skins either. Things that are actually extremely helpful or important, like stashes. Not all games let you earn cash shop items in-game, yet Ironmace has elected to make that possible. The whole point of it taking time is to incentivize playing or making a purchase if you don't want to wait.
Oh that old argument, they do it so it's automatically ok. And the grind is real, someone even worked it out. It's a *lot* of grind.
It goes back to that circular argument that so many on here are hippocrites of.
It's a silly overpriced thing.
Don't buy it then.
And in a separate argument from the same people....
Nexon has silly things to buy for too much.
Well don't buy them then.
But Nexon are praying on kids and vulnerable people who can't control money/have gambling type problems. They can't control it so these things shouldn't be for sale!
This whole thing is double standards tbh.
